Desjardins, Sandra ‘Sandy’ (nee Dodge)

Sandra ‘Sandy’ was the daughter of Ernie Dodge (predeceased 1982) and mother Ellen Tait of North Bay. She is also predeceased by her sister Carol-Anne (stillborn). Lovingly remembered by her loving husband and soulmate Roger Desjardins and her loving stepson Wayne Desjardins of Winnipeg. She will be sadly missed by her sisters Sue of North Bay, Lorie (Keith) of Belleville, Jan (Jim) of Utterson and Tracey of Toronto. Sandy was an active member with the Magical Paws Pet Therapy Program for 8 years until her health declined. She often visited the seniors at the Au Chateau in Sturgeon Falls where she and her 2 dogs gave great pleasure to the residents. Sandy was also very active with the Jocko Point Community Centre for 5 years, she was on the Board of Directors and was appointed as Activities Director as well as Kitchen Director. She will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephew and her two canine companions at home; Shilo & Dixie. A special thank you to Dr. Andrew Pierce and his nurse Clinton Barry at the Sudbury Cancer Centre. A sincere thank you to her family doctor, Dr. Andrew Spencer for his compassion and care, also his wonderful loving nurse Sandy. As per Sandy’s wishes, cremation has taken place at Whispering Pine’s Funeral Home’s Crematorium. Donation’s in Sandy’s memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or All Heart Pet Rescue would be gratefully appreciated by her family.
