Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Alfred (Fred) LeBreton on Thursday, August 10th at the age of 92 at North Bay Regional Health Centre, surrounded by his family.

Fred was predeceased by his loving wife, Mionne LeBreton (Shank) and his son, Daniel LeBreton. He is survived by his daughter, Claudette Patrizio (John – deceased) and his 3 grandchildren, Amanda Patrizio-Nieman (Derek), Sarah Cadger (Kyle) and Jennifer Patrizio Marques (Paulo). Fred will be missed by his 5 great-grandchildren, Ryan, Emma-Leigh, Kohen, Kaden and Olivia. Fred is also survived by his sister, Elianne Richardson (Roger) and brother, Albert LeBreton (Rita). He was predeceased by his parents, Edmond and Lucille LeBreton and his brothers, Edmond, Jean-Paul, Guy, Gilbert and Amedée LeBreton.

Fred was born and raised in New Brunswick and moved to Ontario where he met his wife, Mionne and together they raised their family. Fred loved his family and social gatherings. He always had a new story to tell and loved to chat. Fred was a hard-working man and always kept busy. He continued to work until the age of 91. He was a kind and caring man, always willing to help in any way he could. He was always up for a new adventure and loved to travel in his earlier years. Las Vegas and the East Coast of Canada were his favourite places to visit. He also enjoyed road trips to the casino in Orillia and Sudbury. He recently enjoyed visiting the North Bay casino with his daughter, Claudette. Fred was a religious man and believed in the power of prayer.

We are so thankful for the outstanding care provided to Fred at NBRHC. Special thanks to C3/D3 and the amazing staff (Jaz, Linda, Shannon, Hannah, Manjima and Chris). The professionalism, compassion and care received is something we are forever grateful for. Thank you to the staff in the ER, Dr. Steele, Dr. Gauthier, Dr. Edie and Dr. Lukomska. We would also like to thank CCAC and Paramed for the wonderful care Fred received prior to his hospitalization.
