Angela Maria (Miscio) Lavalle

On Good Friday, April 15, 2022, our beloved Angela Maria Lavalle passed away peacefully at the Nipissing Serenity Hospice surrounded by the love of her family.  She was a loving wife, devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, loyal sister, and friend to many. Angela Maria was born on January 28, 1939, in San Giovanni Rotondo, Italy. In December of 1954, she immigrated to Canada with her mother, Caterina Miscio (née Vinelli) (predeceased), to join her father, Antonio Miscio, and brothers, Leonardo, and Giovanni (all predeceased).  Her older brother, Michele Miscio, passed away in Italy during the Second World War.  Angela Maria leaves behind her husband of 61 years, Guido, her children Peter (Tammy) of Sudbury, Anthony (Heidi) of Barrie, Caterina (Michael) of North Bay and Giovanna (Peter) of North Bay, grandchildren Christopher, Nathalie, Angela, Lisa, Noah, Sarah, Lauren, Julia and Gabriella, and great-grandchildren Evah, Jacob and Baby Wise (May 2022).  Angela Maria will be missed by many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.  She lived life by loving and caring for everyone wholeheartedly.  You were ALWAYS welcome at her table, day, or night, to enjoy her delicious lasagna.  She taught us all many valuable life lessons and her light will shine on through all the people she loved.  Angela Maria was in her glory when she was surrounded by friends and family.

The family will receive visitors at the McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) on Thursday, April 21, 2022, between the hours of 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter the Apostle Church (299 Airport Road, North Bay), on Friday, April 22, 2022, at 11am.  Interment will take place at the Holy Cross Cemetery.
