Betty Joan (Taylor) Greenside

It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing of Betty Joan Greenside at the age of 78 years. Born and raised in Shanty Bay ON. Betty was the oldest of eight siblings. Betty was married to the love of her life George Greenside for 58 years, raising 4 children, Shelly, late Tim, Randy, Brad. Betty dedicated her life to George and their children and their partners, grandchildren, great-grandchild, extended family, friends, and bear. She spent countless hours enjoying gardening, quilting, and baking her famous cookies and butter tarts that everyone enjoyed. The family would like to thank Dr. B. Shaw and the nursing staff at the North Bay Hospital for their countless care and kindness of Betty. If desired, donations to the Nipissing Wildlife or the North Bay-Mattawa Conservation Authority would be gratefully appreciated by the family. As per Betty’s wishes cremation has taken place at Whispering Pines Funeral Home and the family will be holding a private ceremony at a later date.
