Betty Marie (Wilson) Murphy

It is with great sorrow that the family announces the unexpected passing on Wednesday February 24, 2021 at home at the age of 67 years.  Betty was the loving wife of Jim Murphy. Betty was the beloved mother to Jamie Weldrick (Jim) and Tyler Murphy (Terri).  Betty is the cherished grandmother to Rowan Murphy, Adam Deruyte, and Cameron Deruyte.  Betty will be remembered by her Mother-in-law Carla Murphy (late James) and her Uncle Donn Lentz.  Predeceased by her parents Violet (Hyland) and Joseph Wilson. Survived by her siblings, Audrey, Shirley, Jean, and Margaret. Predeceased by her siblings, David, Ken, Milt Grenville, Stan, Mary, Donald, Myrna, Helen, Gordie, Gerald and William. She will be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews. Her biggest joy in life was boating on Lake Nipissing with Ted and Lynne, Ana and Luigi, Dan and Anna. She will be greatly missed by her best friend Wilma and Dave.  As per Betty’s Wishes, cremation has taken place at Whispering Pines Funeral Home and a private memorial service will occur at a later date.  If desired, donations can be made to The Canadian Cancer Society.
