Carole (Garneau) Acker

Passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her children on November 8th, 2020 at the North Bay Regional Health Centre at the age of 59 years. She will be forever missed by her daughter Jennifer Thompson (Bradley) and son Jonathan Acker. Cherished Grand-Maman of Owen and Benjamin. Predeceased by her parents Monique Reid, Philippe Garneau and her brother Andre Garneau.  Carole was known for her generous heart, her decadent desserts and her love for the arts.  As per Carole’s wishes, cremation will occur with no public visitation or services.  The family wishes to express a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Ghandi at Sunnybrook Hospital, Dr. Pitre at the Sudbury Cancer Centre, Dr. Galema and her doctors at the Near North Medical Clinic for all of their support over the years.  The family also wishes to thank her ParaMed nurse Sandra as well as the palliative care nursing staff at the North Bay Regional Health Centre for all of the care and support they have given to Carole and her family in her final days.  If desired, donations to the Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
