Colleen Irene Walsh

With a twinkle in her eye and a song in her heart, Colleen Irene Walsh (born June 26, 1954) left us much too soon on Thursday April 27th, 2023.

To those of us who knew and loved her, we are certain that she has already found a captive audience in a better place. She brought joy to everyone; among them, the Emmanuel United church choir, of whom she was a member...and oh, could she sing!

She also brought comfort to those she helped with her reflexology, and to those she invited to her table to enjoy her latest favourite recipe. She found great joy in the art of cooking.

Colleen always put everyone's best interest before her own. She never forgot a birthday, particularly those of her great nieces Zoë & Sloan, daughters of Garret and Julia Walsh.

She had a true Irish heart, which exploded when she belted out "Oh, Danny Boy" and she could never finish the tune without tearing up. 

She will be so missed by her sisters Janet & Marie and her brothers Kevin and Daniel. She will also be missed by her sister-in-law Charlene Boyce, her brother-in-law Douglas Koch, and her nephews Garret and Kaegan Walsh and Michael Kane.

Colleen leaves behind many friends, among them her devoted neighbours Tim Daoust and his husband Jake, and friends Laurie & Tim Mainville. Colleen was predeceased by her parents, Frank, and Simone (née Pilon) and her brother Michael. 

Dearest Colleen, Col, Coco Bean:

And as a final toast to you:

"the grief of our loss may be with us for a long time, but the joy of our memories will stay forever."
