Ernest Lehman Villeneuve

Peacefully passed away at the Algonquin Nursing Home on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at the age of 90 years. Beloved husband of the late Beatrice (nee Tardif-Kelly).

Cherished father of John Villeneuve, Ernie Villeneuve Jr. (Christine Dyelle), Donna Villeneuve (Barrie Therrien), James Villeneuve, and Teri Villeneuve (Jim Burton) and a fourth son in everything but name Ivan Friday-Taylor (Doreen Dyelle).

Loving grandfather of Dustin, Derrick, Darwin, Melissa, Jessica, Kevin, Ali, Stephen, and Jonathan and great-grandfather of Ian, Isaac, Beau, Ben, Layla, Dominic, and Mackenzie.

Predeceased by his parents Joseph Arthur Villeneuve and Henriette (Hattie) Meilleur and his entire family, a step-sister Antoinette (Tony), sisters Doreen, Olivene, Patricia Philomene (Teresa), Viola (Enid), Irene, Catherine (Mae), and a brother Leonard Arthur who died shortly after birth.  He is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.

He will be sadly missed by his close friend Robert (Bob) Lessard and his wife Fran as well as a number of staff from the Algonquin Nursing Home with whom he had many a heartfelt conversation. His care at the Home was exceptional.

As per Ernest’s wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a celebration of life (think Irish Wake) at a date yet to be determined.
