Gord Brooks, 77, died peacefully at home in Callander on April 20, 2021 with his all-time favourite wife, Nancy Brooks at his side. Prominent family patriarch to a considerable brood including, Matthew Brooks (Cheryl), Cheri Boyer (Ken), Jeffrey Brooks (Carolin), Gordie Brooks (Shelly), Bonnie Maki, Sylvia Cook (Frank), Charlie Pineau (Wendy), Timothy Pineau, Matthew Pineau, and David Edwards (Matty). Adored grandfather to 26 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Gord was predeceased by his parents Charles and Eleanor (nee Miller) Brooks, his brother Albert Brooks (late Carol), and sisters Marilyn and Eleanor (late Garry). He is survived by his brother Donny (late Brenda), and sister Bonnie Clarke-McKenzie (Timothy).
Proud Registered Practical Nurse at North Bay Psychiatric Hospital. He lived by the rule of his military career, Gord was a Retired Master Corporal serving in the Royal Canadian Regiment. Gord would often tell stories to his family of his Military exercises from around the world. He always loved spending time with his family and never lost his exciting sense of adventure. His abrupt nature and inexhaustible sense of humour will be greatly missed among the “FamJam” and will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
