Champagne, Hubert (Hub) (1946 – 2020)

La famille Champagne a le regret de vous annoncer le décès d’Hubert, survenu à North Bay le samedi 1er août 2020, à l’âge de 73 ans.  Fils de feu Samuel Champagne et de feu Laurette Champagne (née Savage).  Époux bien-aimé de Gisèle Champagne (née Mayotte) et père de Charles (Sarah) et de René (Genevieve).  Son souvenir restera gravé dans la mémoire de ses petits-enfants Alexandre, Eliana, Emily, Laurier et Brennan.  Frère de feu Edouard (Laurette), feu Raymond (Janice), Albert (Helen), Rheal (Hazel), Richard (Sue), feu Pauline, Claire (Joe), feu Jean (Denise) et Dianne Gauthier (Bruce).  Lui survivent également plusieurs nièces et neveux. Les plus sincères remerciements au personnel de la Maison Sérénité du Nipissing de North Bay pour leur compassion et leurs services envers Hubert et sa famille.  Poussé par sa passion pour la culture francophone, Hubert a enseigné le français langue seconde aux élèves anglophones pendant 25 ans. Sa famille et ses proches ont toujours joui de sa popotte hors pair. 

The Champagne family announces with sorrow the death of Hubert (Hub) in North Bay, on August 1st, 2020 at the age of 73. Hub was passionate about spreading the francophone culture, which he accomplished by teaching French as a second language for 25 years. His family and friends were always welcome at his table for one of his delicious home-cooked meals.

Funeral arrangements in care of McGuinty Funeral Home, 591 Cassells St., North Bay. Visitation on Thursday, August 6, 2020 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm.
