It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of Ivan G. Gaudreault on July 6, 2020 at the North Bay Regional Health Centre at the age of 82 years. Dearly loved husband of Lorraine (née Pigeau) of 60 wonderful years. Loving father of Denise Manso (Chris), Diane Rancourt (André), Marc Gaudreault (Nikky) and predeceased by his daughter Gertrude. Cherished grandfather of 7 grandchildren; Mitchell, Matthew, Justin, Alain, Marc-André, Marie-Ève and Abbey, as well as 4 great grandchildren; Zachary, Danika, Mason and Paxton. Sadly, missed by his nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Predeceased by his parents; Eugène and Espérance Gaudreault (née Boissonneault). Ivan is the third youngest of 15 siblings, predeceased by Zephirin, Grégoire, Rodolphe, Antonio, Daniel, Gilbert, Maurice, Laurent, Antonia, Laurence, Yvette, Thérèse, Anne and Madeleine.

Ivan was very family oriented and never hesitated to help his family in any way he could. He was always there to support his grandchildren and loved to spend time with them. He liked to help with renovations, tag along on fishing trips, take his grandchildren to the park, take them skating or mini-putting. He was always there to support his children and grandchildren cheering them on in baseball, ball hockey, dodgeball, football, soccer as well as school plays and concerts. He enjoyed picking blueberries, playing catch, darts, bowling, skiing as well as golfing. He was a dedicated Canadiens’ and Battalions’ fan and enjoyed taking hockey shots to allow his son to practice. He enjoyed travelling to visit family and to attend major sports games. He also loved wood working, leaving behind many treasures.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Cremation has taken place at Whispering Pines Funeral Home. Donations to the Parkinson’s Foundation or the Alzheimer’s Society would be gratefully appreciated by his family.
