Jeffery Dearden

Jeffery Stuart Dearden of the Oneida of the Thames Band and raised in Kenabeek passed away on July 9th, 2023, due to complications with diabetes. He was loved by all of us in our large family setting here in Kenabeek, becoming a true Northerner who loved to go fishing.

He is preceded by his Father; Dave Dearden, remembered and loved by his Mother; Lois Dearden, his Children; Donavon, and Hailey, missed terribly by his brother; Tyy and wife Anne Dearden, their children, Brent, Mitchell and Ashlee, also by his sisters; Irma, Anna, and Darleen, and by his many relatives and extended family. A special thanks to all the residents where Jeff was living, his second family, JD as he was known, was well liked. Jeff was a loving individual, he didn’t have much as far as material things, but he was a man full of love for his fellow human beings. He was a kindred soul and an Angel in disguise, doing things for the less fortunate, that is less fortunate than him, considering lots thought Jeff was the less fortunate person. He had his ups and downs, but he never lost faith in his Toronto Maple Leafs, and then the Blue Jays, can’t forget about them, our last talk Saturday afternoon, he was complaining about the Jays pitching, and I laughed saying things don’t change in Toronto, they build you up and then burst your balloon, but those were his teams and he could tell you the stats and the players all by heart, always told him he should have been a sports caster.

Jeff was truly loved by all, he will be missed, but the heavens have got one great goalie for their lacrosse team.

Jeff’s Celebration of Life will be held at Rosegroove Cemetery in Kenabeek, Ontario at 2:00pm  August 19th, 2023.  Family and Friends are invited back to the farmhouse for light refreshments after the service
