John Bernard Harquail

Peacefully passed away surrounded by the love of his family at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on August 11, 2023, at the age of 87 years. Bernard was the beloved husband of Barbara (nee Fortier) Harquail. He was the loving father to Pamela Sargant (Bart), Laura McWhirter (Glen), Colleen Harquail, Patrick Harquail (Erica), and David Harquail (Alicia). Bernard was the cherished grandfather to 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He will be lovingly remembered by his brother Maurice Harquail and sister Joan Meehan. He is predeceased by his sisters Pamela Harquail and Jean Ellen Guy as well as his parents Paul Harquail and Laura (nee Delaney) Harquail.  As per Bernard’s wishes, cremation has taken place and the family will be receiving visitors at the Sovereign Court Penthouse Suite (130 Worthington St. W. North Bay) on Saturday, August 19, 2023, between the hours of 1 pm to 7 pm. If desired, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society and would be gratefully acknowledged by his family.
