Joyce (Brockhurst) Sicotte

Joyce passed away peacefully at the age of 95 years old. Predeceased by her husband Walter, she was the proud mother of her children Linda (Jack Brotherston- deceased), Sharon (Ted Hargreaves) and John (Jeanine Sicotte). She was also the beloved Nana to her grandchildren Cheryl, Chris (Carla), Michael (Renee), David (Mary), Jennifer (Todd), Shawna (Amanda) and Evan (Clara) as well as her great-grandchildren Blair, Caitlin, Ashley, Megan, Abbey, Josie and Grace. Joyce was proud to be a part of the Royal Canadian Legion as a Ladies Auxiliary Member with Branch 23 for much of her life. She was always serving others through her volunteer work and enjoyed the friendships with others who like her came to our country from England, at the end of the war, married to a soldier at only 18. In her later years she enjoyed the time she spent with her friends at Cassellholme, playing cards, knitting or doing puzzles, and was always a comforting presence to those who needed her. The family is very appreciative to all Nurses and Staff at Cassellholme  for their  kindness, compassion and dedication, and especially the way they always treated Joyce with dignity, respect and treating her like family. In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to Cassellholme and would be gratefully acknowledged by the family. Respecting Joyce’s wishes cremation will occur with no public services.
