Laurence "Laurie" Mary (Quinn) Cantin

Peacefully passed away at the Empire Living (North Bay) on October 2, 2021, at the age of 89 years. Laurie was the loving mother of Gerard Cantin and the late Lorraine Brunette (Bob-surviving).  She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Marc, Natalie, Sean, Raymond and three great grandchildren Kaelyn, Parker and Jasmine.  Dear sister of Laurent Quinn (Claudette), Lina Cantin and Beatrice Perron, all of North Bay.  Predeceased by her parents, Alexina and Leonce Quinn, her brother Gerard Quinn and sisters Alida Poitras, Jeanne Emond, Cecile Ethier and Celina Ethier. Laurie was a member of La Crémaillère, Les Bons Amis and L’Amicale for many years.  She also did volunteer work at different organizations.  She enjoyed dancing, bowling, crafts, and computers.  Laurie was a retiree of the Toronto Dominion Bank.  As per Laurie’s wishes, cremation has taken place at Whispering Pines Funeral Home’s Crematorium and a Memorial Mass will be held at St. Vincent-de-Paul church (North Bay) on Saturday October 23, 2021, at 10:00 am.  Church doors will be open at 9:00AM for attendees to arrive early and provide a condolence to the family.  If desired, donations to a charity of choice would be gratefully acknowledged by her family.  Online condolences can be made at www.mcguintyfuneralhome.com  Covid-19 Restrictions remain in place requiring attendees to wear face coverings or masks, and practice social distancing while in the church.
