Sarlo, Lillian (nee Hiscock)

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dearly loved mother who passed away peacefully at Waters Edge Care Community surrounded by her family on Monday January 20, 2020 at the age of 93 years. Our mom was the heart and soul of our family and she took great delight in each of her children and grandchildren. Mom was a resilient and intelligent individual. There seemed to be no challenge too great for her to master for the benefit of her family. She was an outstanding homemaker, making numerous homemade clothing for her children and grandchildren. Predeceased by our father Eddie Sarlo-2016 and our infant sister, Mary Frances. Survived by her children; Diane Loyst (Dale), Chris Sarlo, Susan Tedesco (late Gino) (Terry Cangiano), Elizabeth Hayes (John) and Steve Sarlo. She will be sadly missed by her 10 grandchildren; Kari Loyst and Cynthia Loyst (Jason), Jamie Tedesco (Diana) and Stephen Tedesco (Sarah), Daniel, Bryan and Laura Sarlo, Erin Hayes (Andrew), Kelly Sarlo (Eric) and Andrew Sarlo as well as 8 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Shirley Ryan (late Tim). Lillian will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Predeceased by her dear sister Gwen Lucenti (late Bib). Our family would like to thank all the wonderful staff on Pier 1 at Waters Edge Care Community for their care and compassion shown to our mother and our family. Private Family arrangements have been entrusted to McGuinty Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Nipissing Serenity Hospice or the Alzheimer’s Society would be gratefully appreciated by her family.
