Madeline Mae Dokis passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family at Cassellholme on May 5th, 2021 at the age of 87 years. Cherished mother to Gary (Mona-Lisa) of Dokis First Nation and Ron Dokis of Thunder Bay. Madeline will be missed but always remembered by her grandchildren Matt Dumas, Amy Dokis, Alyssa Dokis, Josh Dokis and Kearson Pitawanakwat as well as by her great grandchildren Haylen Tyance and Athena Dokis. She is survived by her siblings Annie Stevens and Kay McLeod. Madeline is predeceased by her husband Lawrence Dokis and her parents Hugh and Nancy Stevens as well as by her daughter Karen Dumas and son Richard “Rick” Dokis. She is also predeceased by her grandchild Melissa Dumas and by her siblings Nellie Dokis, Irene Stevens, Agnes McLeod, Mercy Genise, Hubert and Laurent Stevens. The family will be receiving visitors at McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) on Saturday May 8th, 2021 between the hours of 10:40am – 12:45pm followed by a private church service.
