Maria Legault

Maria passed away peacefully on October 31, 2023 with her family at her side at the Nipissing Serenity Hospice in her 77th year.  Cherished Mother of Corry Ouellette (Bob) and beloved Grandmother of Benjamin and Mackenzie - Daughter of Adrianna (Nan) and Joseph Vandale (both predeceased). Maria will forever be loved and never forgotten by her Sisters Wilhelmina Dansereau (Pierre), Noella Mauro (Gene - predeceased), Antoinette Fetterly (Bob). She was an incredibly loved "Auntie" by many Nieces/Nephews and her Great Niece/Nephews who she absolutely adored. The essence of Maria was evident in her everyday life, she found joy in the simple things - digging in the dirt, old western movies, friends, food but above all Family.  She was selfless and caring, always concerned with giving and taking care of others.  She loved without boundaries, never judged, never a bad word. She valued her work at Pharma Plus, where she worked for years and the lifelong friendships she made there. She was so happy and proud to hear of Mackenzie's achievements at school and then moving up in her career, it always made her smile. Her heart belonged to Benjamin - She was fiercely proud of him and all the things he has accomplished, never missing a game, taking him fishing and throwing a ball for hours. They had a very special bond that will never be broken. She thought the world of him.

We would like to thank Nipissing Serenity Hospice for every caring and compassionate moment you gave, not only to her but also our family.  The Nurses and Personal Support Workers are amazing.
