Marie Bedard Obituary

BEDARD, Marie Louise (nee Larouche)

It is with great sadness that we announce our mother`s peaceful passing at Cassellholme on April 21, 2020, at the age of 87. Marie was born in Bonfield on September 29, 1932, the daughter of the late Sarto Larouche and Marie Louise Lamothe.  She was the beloved wife of the late Jacques Bedard who predeceased her in 2010. Jacques and Marie would have been married almost 60 years.  She will be cherished forever by her children, Suzanne Robert, Hélène Tremblay (Richard) of Temiscaming, Mike, Marc (Wendy), Moe (Rose), Jacqueline Vezeau (Ken) and Marcel (Lina) and special daughter-in-law Diane Neveu.  She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren, T. Richard, Louise, David, Jennifer, Michael Jr., Jamie, Mandy, Katie, Kyle, David, Kenny Jr., Chantal, Richard, Krista, Kayla, Alyssa and Andrew.  She was the proud and loving great-grandmother of Michaela, Mitchell, Tyler, Brynn, Antoine, Yasmine, Maxim, Avery, Cohen, Hailey, Scarlet, Tristan, Jessica, Kazz, Mariah, Joshua, Avery and Addison.  Predeceased by her three brothers, Ernest (Gaétane Larouche surviving), Aldège (Cécile Amyot deceased) and Paul (Louise Pilon deceased).  Also, predeceased by a very dear grandchild Terry Jacob.  Dear sister-in-law to Rose and Jean-Marie (John) Bedard and very close cousin Jean Girard and very special cousin (Marie Deschesnes deceased). Marie was the heart of the family and always put everyone’s needs ahead of her own.  She was completely selfless and devoted to her family. She always taught us the importance of unconditional love.  Our mom, affectionately known as Mémère, will be remembered for her kindness, generosity and compassion.  Those who knew her well will remember her gentle spirit and her warm heart. We hold onto many great memories of this very special lady.  Marie worked in retail for many years in North Bay.  She loved playing Bridge with friends and took part in fitness programs.  She was also a member of “Les Filles d`Isabelle”, Les Dames de Ste-Anne and le club l`Amicale. The family would like to thank Dr. Prins and the staff at Cassellholme for the care and compassion given to Marie.  Also, a special thank you to Dr. Eckler.  With the Covid-19 restrictions, a celebration of life will be held at Paroisse St-Vincent-de-Paul in North Bay at a later date.  As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations to the Cassellholme Charity Foundation would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
