Marilyn Mary Margaret (Mainville) Swant

After a lengthy battle with illness Marilyn passed away with her loving family at her side on March 18, 2020 at the North Bay Regional Health Centre at the age of 86 years. Beloved wife of the late Reginald Swant (1986). Beloved mother of Stephen Swant, mother in law to Kelly Brown, cherished grandmother of Tyler Brown (Sarah) and Mackenzie Brown, and great grandmother to Amelia, Samuel and Lydia. Marilyn spent her career in communications beginning with working for Bell Canada as a switch board operator and then retiring from the ONR where she also worked at the switch board. Affectionately known as “Boom Boom” Marilyn to her care givers at the Cedar Lodge for her feisty demeanour it was here she called home for the last year and a half and her family is so grateful for the care and compassion provided by Dr. Ng, the nurses, the PSW workers and the kitchen staff.  In order to contribute to the common public health effort to help stem the spread of COVID-19 the family has decided that the visitation and funeral service for Marilyn will remain private.
