Obituary
Passed away peacefully on April 8, 2023, in her 84th year. Marlene was the beloved wife of James Porter and the loving mother to David McCharles (June), Cathy Verge, Dianne McCharles, Leona McCharles (Jason), and stepmother to Mark Porter (Sue), Jennifer Porter, and Valerie Porter. She was the cherished grandmother to Montana and Chloe Warbrick, Jack, Maggie and True Copple, Taylor McCharles, Mackenzie and Larissa Porter, Victoria and Vanessa Porter.
Marlene will be lovingly remembered by her siblings Robert, Barbara, Jean, Geraldine, Deborah and Donna and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents James and Agnes (nee Turner) Miller and siblings Claire, John, Marion, Theresa, Leonard, Lloyd, Henry, Gary and Marjorie.
Marlene will be remembered as a fiercely independent woman who loved to laugh with her siblings, dance with Jim and cheer on the Toronto Blue Jays, and most importantly be Nana to her loving grandchildren.
