It is with profound sadness, we announce the unexpected passing of Michel ‘Mike’ Voyer Jr. on June 17, 2020 at the age of 42 years. Devoted husband of Erika (née Labonte). Cherished Father "Papa" of Zoé Voyer, Max Voyer and Stepfather of Mia Labonte.  Loved son of Michel and Lucille Voyer. Dearest brother, fishing, and hunting companion of Stéphane Voyer (Audrey). Sadly, missed by niece Amélie and nephew Charlie Voyer.  Fondly remembered by his extended family, and many dedicated friends. Mike can be described as a Teddy bear, he was loved and respected by everyone he met. His greatest passion was his love for the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and camping with his family and friends. Family will be receiving visitors at McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) on Friday June 26, 2020 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm and on Saturday June 27, 2020 from 10- 12 pm. Due to current Covid-19 restrictions, please wear a face mask and practice social distancing (two meters). The family requested for each visitor to reach into their tackle box and find a fishing lure that reminds them of Mike and bring it along with them.  The lures will be distributed to each of his beloved children. In lieu of flowers, donations to a Mental Health Foundation of your choice in support of suicide prevention and awareness would be gratefully appreciated by his family.
