Peter John Greco

It is with great sadness that the Greco family announces the passing of Peter John Greco, at the age of 70. He is survived by his wife Lucia, daughters’ Dayna, Andrea (Cameron)and Megan and son Cory (Alexandra), as well as his brother Gary (Alex) and his sister Sandra. He was pre-deceased by his parents Cecil and Joan Greco.

Peter was well known throughout the community for his participation in sports, particularly hockey and football. He played for both Algonquin Composite School and Scollard Hall. After his playing days Peter continued to give back to football as a coach at both Widdifield Secondary School and Scollard Hall. Peter recently retired from a career with National Bank Financial. Peter was also a member of the North Bay Bridge Club where he was a very accomplished player as well as an executive. He was also an important board member of the North Bay Regional Health Centre Foundation.The Greco family were the founders of the well-known restaurant Greco’s which Peter and his brother Gary continued to operate for a number of years after the passing of their father.Family and community were the most important to Peter.  He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren Declan and Finley. Visitation will take place on Saturday January 18th, 2020 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay). The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff and nurses of the CCU at the NBRHC for their care for Peter. Donations, in memory of Peter, can be made to the North Bay Museum.
