Reginald Bruce Fountain

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father on Saturday May 7th, 2022, at his home. He is predeceased by his wife Winnifred (Healey) of Katrine. He was the tremendously well-loved father of Steven Fountain of Powassan, and daughter Lisa Toebes (Scott) of Astorville. He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by his grandsons Dexter and Cole Toebes.

He was a dear brother to Ainsley, Ruth, Len, Elva, Jean, Lila, Harvey, Don, Lloyd and Bonnie. Dear brother-in-law to Rodney and Gladys, Dalton and Helen, Bradley and Donna, Marjorie, Lorraine and Hugh, Marlaine and Louis, Gayle and Kirk, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Reg enjoyed many pass-times including working with his tractor, driving his caddy, gardening, horseshoes, playing his guitar and singing. He worked as a machinist for many years. He also enjoyed working on cars and spent long hours working on them as well. He also very much liked all home improvement projects. He was a lifelong fan of the Montreal Canadiens.

Reg was well known for his quick whit, classic one-liners, and his general wealth of knowledge on everything.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will be at the Powassan Lions Club (7 Glendale Heights) Powassan on Saturday June 25, 2022, from 1pm to 4pm. Online condolences may be made at www.mcguintyfuneralhome.com
