Richard Basil Blais

 It is with great sorrow the family of Richard Blais, born June 24, 1947 announced his sudden passing on November 24, 2019 at his home in St Catherines, Ontario.  Beloved husband of 20 years to Linda (nee Bernard). Loving  father to Raymond Blais of Thorold, Jacqueline Blais of Orangeville and Francine Blais (Stan Thibault) of Sudbury. Cherished  grandfather of Logan Thibault and Rachelle Price.  Dear brother of Joseph (Suzanne), Jeannette Delamorandiere (Edward predeceased), Thérèse Boulanger (Maurice), Cécile Pelland (Maurice – predeceased), Elizabeth Lambert (Allen), Annette Morin (Ron). He will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.  Predeceased by his parents Alfred and Evelyn Blais (nee Boucher) of Bonfield, his brothers, Albert–wife Wilma both predeceased, Rose Harrison–husband Bertrand both predeceased, Paul (Sue–surviving), Leo (Lina-surviving).  His nephew Richard Nadon predeceased December 4, 2019, and niece Charlene Blais.  His canine companion Bailey will miss him greatly. 

A Memorial service will be held at the Astorville Community Centre, 1257 Village Rd, on Saturday May 30, 2020 with viewing from 11:30, service at 1:30 followed with Interment at the Bonfield Cemetery.  Deacon Tim Foster presiding the memorial service. Please bring smiles and stories.
