Richard Kurzawa

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Richard Kurzawa, on May 31, 2023, at the age of 67, with his loving partner Jan Nadon at his side and surrounded by the love of his sisters.

Rick was a dear brother to Christine Kurzawa of Brampton, Teresa Ion (Jon) of Oakville and uncle to Matthew. He will be sadly missed by aunts and cousins in Canada, England, Australia, and Germany. Predeceased by his parents Edward and Gwen Kurzawa.

Forever remembered for his support, guidance, and loving nature, he will be greatly missed by his Mother-in-Law Fay Brown, step-daughters Melissa Fortin (Yves) and Amy Wardell (Gary), grandchildren: Austin, Trent, Kaleigh, Cassidy, Kaylin, and great-grandchild: Romeo.

Much of Rick's career was spent employed as a Programmer Analyst based on his degree in computer science.  In his retirement, he developed his true passion for home renovations and spending quality time outdoors enjoying nature.  He had a generous heart and kind disposition and always supported his family and friends.

Respecting Rick’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a quiet family and close friends’ celebration of life will occur.

The family wishes to thank the doctors and nursing staff in the critical care unit at North Bay Regional Hospital Centre.
