Ricky Taus

With broken hearts, the family announces the unexpected passing of Ricky at the Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket on September 6, 2023, at the age of 73 years. Beloved husband to Kathryn (nee Lynett) Taus. Loving father of Rick Taus (Jessica) and Veronica Anello (Kris). Cherished grandfather to Kaius, Bodhi, Adriana and Ari. Ricky was predeceased by his parents Enzo and Erma (nee Giardina) Taus and is survived by his brothers Ronnie (Rhea), Rudy (Sylvia), Randy (Sherri), and his sisters Anne Marie MacLennan (Danny) and Cindy Taus. He leaves behind his extended family who will also miss him dearly. Rick will also join his good friends Brian Armitage and Dennis (Snake) Langlois. Ricky was the former co-owner of Cortina’s in North Bay and later enjoyed a long successful career as a salesman with True North Chevrolet Cadillac in North Bay. In his later life and retirement, he found his true passion: golf. He was a devoted golfer at the North Bay Golf and Country Club. The family will receive visitors at the McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) on Monday, September 11, 2023, between the hours of 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter the Apostle Church on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at 2 p.m. Cremation will follow at Whispering Pines Funeral Home’s Crematorium.
