Robert Keith Walker

Walker, Robert Keith (61) passed away unexpectedly at his Callander Ontario home on Tuesday, May 2nd, 2023.

Robert attended Kingston University for a Stationary Engineer. He worked in Chapleau until the age of 45 where he then started working in Sarnia Ontario for Ontario Power Generation and became a Hydro Electric Operating Supervisor. He was well respected by all his colleagues. He loved to work with his hands especially woodworking where he was certainly a perfectionist, and everyone knew it. He also enjoyed all of his machines: tractor, 4-wheeler etc. He always enjoyed having people over to his home and was a great host always making sure you had a drink in your hand, or food to eat. His generosity was unmatched as he never let anyone go without something they needed. You always knew when Bob was in the room because of his infectious laugh that always made everyone smile, but most of all he loved his family more than anything.

Robert, fondly known as Bob was born to William and Betty Lou Walker on September 14th, 1961, in Chapleau Ontario. He leaves behind his beloved wife Ghislaine who he was married to for 38 years, his daughter Candace and son James and their partners Jake and Stefanie.

He also leaves behind his two loving brothers Kevin and Larry along with Larry’s partner Rita. Robert is predeceased by his sister Wendy and father William and will be missed by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins who all loved him dearly.

As per Robert’s wishes, he was taken to McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) and cremated at Whispering Pines Funeral Home's crematorium (Powassan)
