Ronald Roger Gravelle

Peacefully passed away surrounded by the love of his family at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Tuesday June 22, 2021 at the age of 78 years.  Ronald was the beloved husband of 52 years to Linda Gravelle (nee Passmore) and the loving father to Ron Jr Gravelle (Tammy), Glen Gravelle (Cindy) and Mindy Lynn-Whitehead (Mitch Boire). Cherished grandfather to Tieler Gravelle (Jill), Riley Gravelle, Tori Gravelle, Brodie Whitehead, Blake Whitehead, Nate Gravelle, Kobe Gravelle, and Abriele Boire and great-grandfather to Grayson Gravelle with a new great-grandson on the way. Dear brother of Paulette Davis (Dan) and predeceased by his siblings Maurice Gravelle, Alma LeBoeuf, Annette Windsor, Mary-Jane Martin, Leonel Gravelle, Hector Gravelle and Raymond Gravelle. Ronald will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews as well by his brothers and sisters-in-laws Ted Passmore, Joanne Passmore, Jim Passmore and Judy Passmore.  Ronald is predeceased by his parents Arthur Gravelle and Elzire Gravelle (nee Corbeil). Ronald retired from a long career at Boart Long Year. During his younger days, Ron was recognized for his skills on the ice and football field, playing for the Ti-Cats Football Club. He also had a love for dancing and had all the right moves. He enjoyed many days at rinks, fields or gyms cheering on his grandchildren. Through his life, he enjoyed the outdoors where is love of fishing and hunting was passed down to his family. The family of Ronald would like to express a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Vigars and his staff as well all the Nurses and staff on C1 and D1 at the North Bay Regional Health Centre for their care and compassion over the years. As per Ronald’s wishes, cremation has taken place at Whispering Pines Funeral Home.
