Rosetta May (Gallant) Paquin

Rosetta May Paquin (Gallant) passed away peacefully at Cassellholme, with family by her side on Thursday June 13, 2019 at the age of 73, after a long, hard battle with Lewy Body Dementia. She was predeceased by and loved very much by her devoted and loving husband Bill Paquin as well as her parents William and Gladys Gallant. She was loved by and will be greatly missed by her sons Dean Gallant (Sheila) and Brent Paquin (Denise) and daughter Tracy Cantin (Don) as well as her 7 grandchildren: Mitchell, Matthew, Tanner, Zachary, Dylan, Whitney and Ashley and 6 great- grandchildren.  As the youngest child, Rosetta will be missed by her sisters Shirley Mitchell, Muriel Paynter and Geraldine Stevens. Born in Springhill, Nova Scotia, she loved playing the mandolin and fiddle with her siblings, mother and many friends throughout the years. Rosetta and Bill were long-time members of the Powassan Agricultural Society as well as many poultry associations. They lived in Powassan for many years and had alot of friends there with whom they enjoyed many conversations and a lot of coffees with.  Thank you so much to the PSW’s and the nursing staff at Cassellholme for making our Mom comfortable in her final days as well as the compassion and care shown to her and our family throughout her many years there. Special thank you to Shirley Kunkel at Cassellholme. You treated our Mom like family and I know you brought her a lot of comfort and laughs. Thank you so much.
