Saverio 'Sil' Silveri

The family of Saverio “Sil” Silveri is deeply saddened to announce his passing at the North Bay Regional Health Centre, surrounded by his family on December 17, 2021, at the age of 82. Predeceased by his loving wife Teresa Silveri (nee Mascioli). Devoted father of Robert and Don (Carol) Silveri, and cherished Grandpa of Sarah and Michael. He will be sadly missed by his sister Anna-Maria (Carmen) Tucci and sister-in-law Anna Darlington (Ian) and nieces Elia, Laura and Andria and nephew Daniel. He will also be missed by our extended family and dear friends. He is predeceased by his parents Domenico and Elia Silveri and his Aunt Mariannina and Uncle Angelo Silveri. Sil was born in Ofena, L’Aquila, Italy on December 4, 1939.

Many will remember Sil from his 25 + years of operating Sil’s Deli in downtown North Bay. The deli was a place where Sil enjoyed serving and visiting with his friends. People could always count on being greeted with a smiling face, great food and the famous butter tarts made by his wife Teresa and his loyal staff he considered family.

Special thanks to Dr. Leckie for his care over the years. The family will receive visitors at the McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) on Tuesday December 21, 2021 between the hours of 5pm and 9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday December 22, 2021, at St. Peter’s Church at 10am. Interment at All Saints Mausoleum.
