Sheena Larose

It is with shattered hearts that Serge and Elaine Larose announce the passing of our exquisite and treasured daughter Sheena on April 27, 2023, at the Nipissing Serenity Hospice at the age of 50 years, after a stunningly brief struggle with an aggressive cancer. 

Sheena was an exceptional mother, daughter, sister, auntie, niece and friend.  Adored and adoring, loved and loving, kind, generous, joyous with boundless energy and a brilliant smile that lit up her face and our world and a laugh so big it filled the room. 

Sheena made every day a fun adventure for those whose lives she touched.  Passionate in her devotion to her son Brody and in her career as a social worker, dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of others, and a strong advocate for the underdog. 

Sheena was a wonderful force of nature, affectionately nicknamed Tsunami Sheena by her colleagues for her warp-speed pace and laser focus on the needs of her clients.  She took great pride in her job and her responsibilities.

Sheena leaves so many to mourn and miss her beyond words.  Her son Brody whom she loved with every fibre of her soul, her mom and Dad, her adored brother Craig Larose (Pam) and their children Farrah and Mckile, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.  She was our cherished daughter who always gave 100% in all she did.  

This amazing light has left our lives and now shines in heaven with God.  The world has become a little darker for all who knew and loved her. Sincere thanks and appreciation to Dr. Jinnah for your kindness, patience, and counsel and to Dr. Senior for the same. Pastor Wadley and Sheena’s entire church family for their compassion and love, you all meant so much to her and your guidance lifted her up to heaven.  Thank you to the Care Partners nurses for their excellent care.  Thank you to her bestie McBestie from Bestieville -Kim.  She had so much fun with you; your friendship was a gift to her. 

Thank you, Scott, for your steadfast support of Brody, the impact of your presence and guidance in his life is immeasurable. 

We will meet you again precious child, our love goes with you beyond these earthly bounds. 

The family will be holding a memorial service at the Near North Baptist Church on Vimy St. (North Bay) on Thursday, May 4, 2023, at 11 am to celebrate her amazing life.  In Lieu of flowers, donations to the Near North Baptist Church, or the Nipissing Serenity Hospice would be gratefully acknowledged by her family.
