Passed away suddenly at his home on Monday November 28, 2022,, at the age of 79 years. He leaves behind his beloved wife Janet (nee Finger) Marcotte, daughter, Carrie Marcotte and son, Peter Marcotte. He will be lovingly remembered by his brothers, Frank Marcotte and Terry Marcotte (Sherry), sisters, Margaret-Ann Durocher (Randy) and Sheila Marcotte. Tom was the cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews, and they will fondly remember “Uncle Tom”. He is predeceased by his parents Kenneth and Edith (nee Kelly) Marcotte. Tom played high school football, basketball and hockey. Tom played for the North Bay Trappers from 1962-65, and then for the Nashville Dixie Flyers from 1964-65. He returned to North Bay, where he worked as a lineman for Ontario Hydro for 30 Years. He and Janet loved and worked their “Hobby Farm”. As per Tom’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial mass will be celebrated at a later date at St. Peter the Apostle Church, where he was an active member for many years.
