Kathleen Maria Twain

Born September 28, 1954 -Passed December 13, 2022

Maria was a very easy going and loveable soul. She would befriend anyone that she met in her life. She has a smile that would light up a room and warm your soul on a cold day. She was an all-around amazing woman, an amazing mother and an even more amazing grandmother.

Throughout her life, she worked at many places, doing many jobs; but the job that she truly loved was working as the medical trans driver for the Temagami First Nations.

Maria also enjoyed all the times she had spent with her sister Gladys, and her cousins Patricia Neu and Millie White, going to Elvis concerts in Collingwood.

Maria will always be remembered by her only son, Aaron Nelles (Jacyntha Birtch), her grandson Xavier Nelles, her sister Gladys Farr (Robert), her nieces Leanna Farr, Patricia Farr, Michelle Polson (Michael), as well as many other cousins and friends.

Maria is welcomed to the spirit world by her parents William Twain, and Isabel (nee Turner), as well as her brothers Donny, Jimmy and her sister Barbara.

Many thanks go out to the staff at Health Sciences North for keeping Maria comfortable, while she started her journey down the spirit road.

The family will receive visitors at the Lake View Gathering Place located on Bear Island. On December 28, 2022, starting at 11:00 am, as well as December 29, 2022, throughout the day. A Funeral Service will be conducted on Bear Island on December 30, 2022 at 11am.
