GRAWBARGER, Vera May (nee Spencer)

Vera May Grawbarger of Restoule ON passed away May 8th, 2023  at the age of  92 at North Bay Regional Health Centre. Vera was born November 30, 1930, in Nottingham England. Loved daughter of predeceased parents Albert and Marjorie (nee Scott) Spencer. Beloved wife of the late James Gilbert Grawbarger (2015).

Loving mother of Jackie Luce (Bob) of Milton ON; the late Jamie Grawbarger (2003) (Andee) (Steve Eide) of Bear Valley ON; Nikki Belec (Ray) of Restoule ON.

Loving Grandma of Kristina O’Hara (Stu) of Etobicoke ON; Ben Luce of Revelstoke BC; Matt Luce of Milton ON; Rachel Luce (Ricky Bicchierai) of Kitchener ON; Spencer Grawbarger of Bear Valley ON; Jasper and Max.

Loving Great Moma of Isla-Rose and Jackson.

Survived by English siblings Doreen Terry (Paula & Michelle & families) of Nottingham; Marjorie Brown (Les) (Joanne & Tracy & families) of Nottingham; Jackie Wood (Dave) of Nottingham; John Spencer (Brenda), sister-in-law Therese of Sudbury ON (Marjorie & Scott & families).

As well as many surviving extended family members in Canada and England.

She would like to thank all the wonderful friends, family and acquaintances that have made her life here in Canada an unforgettable journey. Her last wish for everyone she leaves behind is ‘Don’t forget to stop and smell the roses. Plant a tree somewhere that you would enjoy looking at and watching it grow.’ 

As per Vera’s wishes cremation has taken place. A burial ceremony for Vera and Gilbert will take place June 3, 2023, at 1 pm at the Restoule Cemetery.
