Our beloved Mary Low has passed away in her 86th year with her son Kevin by her side after a short illness. Affectionately known as ‘Lou Lou’ to her family and friends, she was truly the ‘Life of the Party’. Quite simply, she loved people and she loved life. She was born in Newburgh, New York in 1932 to Ascenzio and Philomena Gizzi of Cucculo, Italy. She always treasured her Italian and New York roots and visited New York annually for her traditional Christmas shopping trip with her dear friend Marilyn Desilets. She had a positive energy and an incredible personality- her spark just put a smile on your face. She spent many fabulous years with husband Paul and son Kevin enjoying Trout Lake living at their beautiful home on MacPherson Drive and working at our local A & P. She was a devoted wife and mother, an avid traveler, a Florida Snowbird and a fabulous cook. Her specialties were her authentic Italian spaghetti sauce and her amazing strawberry-raspberry jam. She is survived by her loving son Kevin (Christine) who will miss her dearly. She is pre-deceased by her brother Lewis, and her two close sisters Ida Mascioli (Loretto) and Jeanne Carniglia, as well as her husband Paul Lalonde. She will be lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews including Rose Knight (Charlie), David Mascioli (Ginny), Mark Carniglia (Melissa) and Margie Dickson. She will also be lovingly missed by her great nieces and nephews including Dayna, Lou Ann, Kelly, Tracey, Christie, Peter, Paul, Luke, Justin and Becky. Family will welcome guests at McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) on Sunday April 23rd from 11 am – 1 pm. Donations are welcome to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
