SHANK, Viola (nee Chaput)

Peacefully passed away at the Waters Edge Care Community on July 3, 2017 at the age of 87 years. Beloved wife of the late Ronald Shank. Loving mother to Carol Ann Hill (Jack) of North Bay, Carole Brush (Robert Roy) of North Bay, Robert Shank (Sue) of Australia, and Diane Desjardins (Kevin) of Hamilton. Proud Grandmother to Jennifer (Richard), Jocelyne, Lance, Stéphane (Alanah) and Dearl. Great Grandmother to Macklin, Chelsee and Arthur. Viola was predeceased by her parents Hermas and Laurence Chaput, her sisters Florence McColgan and Annette Vaillancourt and her brothers Rene Chaput and Victor Chaput . She is survived by her sisters Elsie Livingstone, and Marie Pope. The family will receive visitors at the McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) on Wednesday July 5, 2017 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Paroisse Saint-Vincent-De-Paul on Thursday July 6, 2017 at 11am. Interment will follow at Ste. Bernadette Cemetery in Bonfield. If desired donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
