PALLADINO, Alberindo

Alberindo was born on July 5, 1930 in Carpinone, Italy. Passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on May 21, 2016 at the age of 85 years. Beloved husband of Maria Palladino (nee Valerio) of 60 years. Loving father of Domenic (Sheila) and Angela DeCou (Gerry). Cherished Nonno of Corey, Adam and Emily. Dear brother of Giulia and Lena Palladino, both of Italy. Dear uncle of Giacinto (Barbara), Filomena (Michele) and Angelina (Rocco). Predeceased by his parents, Domenico and Angela Palladino and his sisters, Rosina Castrilli and Antoinette Palladino.  Alberindo and Maria moved to Canada from Italy in 1966 with the dreams of starting a better life for their family.  Alberindo worked at the Empire Hotel from 1968 until his time of retirement as a caretaker. He loved to garden and arbor his cherry trees. The biggest joy of his life were his grandchildren, the love he had for his family, and music. Many hours were spent with his wife, children and grandchildren as he played his accordion. He will be sadly missed for his sense of humour, and his story telling. Alberindo was a proud member of Davedi Club of North Bay and a Third Degree Knight of Columbus for many years. The family will be receiving visitors at  McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) on Wednesday May 25, 2016 from 2-4pm & 7-9 pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated at  Saint Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church on Thursday May 26, 2016 at 10:30 am, followed by an entombment at All Saints Mausoleum. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice would be gratefully appreciated by the family.  The family would like to thank the CCAC nurses, Melissa, April and Derek for their care and devotion, without them this journey would have been a lot harder.
