Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on September 20, 2016 in his 88th year. Devoted husband of Theresa (nee Marleau).  Loving father of Paul (Karen), Anne Veltri (Jeff) and Elizabeth Lachance (Steeve). Cherished pépère of Matthew Veltri, and William and David Lachance. Brother of Madeleine Eisen (Bill). Louis will be sadly missed by his several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Parmelia Taillefer and by his siblings; Malcolm, Jeanne, Annette, Rita, Theresa, René, Léo, Jacqueline and Pauline. Louis operated his own TV repair business in the 1960's, Lou's Radio and TV Repair, and later worked for the Ministry of Transportation. He was an honest hardworking man and a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved music and played piano, guitar and violin. He also played hockey into his mid-seventies, and was a great golfer. Family will be receiving visitors at the McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) on Thursday from 7 – 9 pm. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Peter the Apostle Church on Friday at 10:30 am. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
