CURWIN, Murray Thomas – Peacefully Murray passed away at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Saturday, February 18, 2017, at the age of 80 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Norma (Nee Hopkins). Dearly loved father of Kelly, Lynn (Marat Khansiverov), Mark, Scott (Anne), Marnie (Brad Cameron) and Matt (Lisa). He will be deeply missed by his 13 grandchildren: Jared, Brandon, Kyle, Loren, Grace, Logan, Hannah, Ingrid, Clay, Jake, Katie, Jessica and Angelina. He is also lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews and their families in Saint John, New Brunswick. Born in Saint John in 1936, Murray joined the Canadian Air Force at the age of 18 and served for 31 years in the Canadian military, retiring as a Captain in 1985. He is predeceased by his parents Frank and Agnes and five siblings: Frances (Dryden), Cecil, Margie (Kuske), Don and George. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will be held in the spring. The family wishes to thank Dr. B. Birosh and the many wonderful health care providers at North Bay Regional Health Centre (NBRHC) for their care and support, as well as the North Bay Alzheimer’s Association and the Near North Palliative Care. A special thank you to Carol Fleming. In lieu of flowers, if desired, donations may be made to NBRHC or the charity of your choice.
