Passed away unexpectedly at his home on January 25, 2016. Loved father of Kearson Pitawanakwat. Dear son of Madeline Dokis (nee Stevens). Rick was the cherished brother of Gary (Mona-Lisa) and Ron (Denise). He will be sadly missed by his nephews; Matt Dumas and Joshua Dokis, his nieces; Amy and Alyssa Dokis, his great nephew; Halen, his great niece Athena and by his extended family and many friends. Predeceased by his father Lawrence Dokis, his sister; Karen Dumas and his niece; Melissa Dumas. Family will be receiving visitors at the McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) on Friday January 29, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be conducted at the North Bay Indian Friendship Centre (980 Cassells St,)  on Saturday at 10 am followed by native rituals and a luncheon. Interment at Dokis Cemetery. Donations to the North Bay Indian Friendship Centre (cheques only) or the Canadian Mental Health Association would be gratefully appreciated by his family.
