I would like to offer my sincere condolences to the family. Richard and I were great childhood friends. I have so many fond memories of our time in school and in our old neighbourhood. Even though I moved across the country, I always seemed to run in to Richard when I came home, and when that happened it always seemed like our friendship picked up where it left off.

I was sorry to hear about the loss of someone I was fortunate enough to call my friend. Rick would always have a smile and take a moment to have a chat whenever I would see him. He was a big part of my Kmart days and probably responsible for my lead driving foot. I was glad to know him and he will be missed.

It is with a heavy heart I learnt of Richards passing. My condolences to Madeline, Gary , Ronnie and all family and friends. A lot of my childhood memories revolve around the Dokis home. Bringing back all these memories and good times. Karen used to love teasing Richard he was younger than us and as his older sister she could tell him outlandish stories and he would believe her because she was so smart. Having left home at 15 I really didn't have any contact with the family except for Karen. When in North Bay we would catch up on all the gossip within our familes. RIP Richard you will always be remembered. Always in our hearts and just a memory away. Your circle has now been completed.

My sincere and deepest sympathies to all Richard's family. Ron ( Denise ) Gary ( Mona) I can't imagine your sorrow dealing with this loss. Richard you were a childhood friend that I lost touch with through the years but I do have very fond memories of our friendship. The Dokis family were a great family to grow up around. I remember being able to ride the Chief Commanda for free as Richards father was the captain and he did have to scold us from time to time for running around the boat and being late re-boarding a few times. Those memories are still vivid in my mind as I reflect on this loss of a friend. You were a good friend Richard and even though I haven't seen you in years you will be missed. Rest in peace my friend.

Rick and I worked together years ago in residential treatment for youth, and managed to always stay in touch over the years. His passing is a great loss for all who had the pleasuure to know him. He made me laugh, and some of his antics and practical jokes still make me chuckle today. I was proud to call him my friend. My only regret is not having spent more time with him in these past years. Sadly missed. Safe journey Rick...
