We're Charlie's neighbours - we are very sorry for your loss. We have spent a lot of cold winter mornings waiting for the school bus with Charlie and Julien and Gabriel, and felt lucky to know him just a little bit. He was such a warm and kind soul, once sending me home with a little container of vitamins, and a recommendation for oil of oregano because he had noticed my cold had been lingering for a couple of weeks. Our boys played together while waiting for the bus, and we could tell that he loved his boys a lot. He was always so gentle with them, even when he had to chide them for being too near the road or telling them to put down the bat and ball and not throw the ball at our son (lol, because he's too young to catch it).
Charlie will be missed, and his boys are in our thoughts and prayers.

Growing up, our gang had so much fun. Charles or Chuck as we all called him, was the goofball of the group. Always making us laugh. He also had one of the biggest hearts of anyone I know and was a very kind and gentle person.
He will be greatly missed. My condolences go out to his family.

Every time I met Charles, his energy was so positive - kind, humble and a gentle. The last time I saw him, was this past Fall. He had just bought a base ball for his sons. His sons were his #1 priority. He should be here! My deepest sympathies for his sons and family.

Charles was unlike anyone I have ever know. Always laughing with Bruce, listening to music at their apartment, camping with friends (Tina, Stefanie, Bruce, myself, etc) helping a friend talk through a problem. I have many happy memories spent with him and friends from our childhood. My heart and deepest sympathy goes out to his two little boys and family as well. We will all miss his so very much.
