Dearest Diane, Chris, Susan, Liz, Steve and families:
We were so saddened to hear of Uncle Edward's passing. A great man with an amazing personality. A one of a kind centenarian....We often ask how he and Aunt Lil were doing. We are sure these years have been difficult, but may your many, many wonderful memories bring you all comfort and peace in the days and weeks to come. Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.
Sincerely
Rick & Carol and Zac & Jess
May God bless you all.

My loving thoughts are with you all as you say goodbye to your dear father. He was a dear man to me too, having spent a year, as a fresh, young teacher, living with the Sarlo family, IN THE EARLY 1960's.I learned so many things from Eddie, but one pearl remains to this day. He was ahead of his time, with the reminder WHEN NOT IN USE, TURN OFF THE JUICE. So the verse has stuck all these years later. Fast forward to this August, when we were saying goodbye to a granddaughter, age 20 who had just lived with us for about 15 weeks. In serious tones, hoping for a profound answer, I asked if there was anything she had learned over this time with her dear grandparents! Without skipping a beat she responded, "WHEN NOT IN USE, TURN OFF THE JUICE," So Eddie's influence has stretched far and wide, in more ways than he might have imagined. Blessings on you all, can't wait to give you all hugs.
Mary Ellen xoxo

Thinking of you folks today. I am in Westmeath Ontario tending to Cathy Williamsons dogs while she is in Portugal so can not be with you to celebrate Eddys life. Fond memories of Eddy and the Sarlo Family. Eddy was certainly patient with our 'gaggle' of teeagers in the basement family room, playing cards, the piano, singing and making noise into the wee hours of the morning. Even when he kicked us out around 2am he was still a gentleman but nonsense time was over!!!!

Dearest Eddie- thank you for the music and the smiles you gave us! I remember when i got up to sing with you in Norm Morrows band at Joeannes wedding,it was pretty powerful standing infront of that brass section. Now i had a ideal of how Frank Sinatra felt. I was nervous but when i finished i looked up , you winked, gave me the thumbs up and you smiled. Paul and all the Pruneau family.

Katherine and I extend our sincere condolences. I played beside Eddy in the Norm Mauro band for several years. We had many good times, lots of laughs and I certainly retain many, many fond memories. It is my hope to have as long and successful of playing career as Eddy. Peace, Love, Joy, Faith - Eddy was all about all of these. I know that he was very proud of his entire family.

On behalf of the O'Neills, I would like to offer my condolences to the Sarlos, Loysts, Tedescos, Hayes', and Sue and Terry. Eddie had some of that stuff that you just can't teach...like how to fill a room, and how to connect with little ones. Maybe it was the music in him. Even after 100 years he left the audience wanting more. Love, Chris

For once, the good did NOT die young. Eddie lived a good long life. I will not soon forget the clarinet lessons he taught me, his insistence on my developing a vibrato, which never did happen, working along side of him at The Nugget when it was worth reading, his bicycle rides on the streets of North Bay, and the wonderful loving family he raised. Nor will I forget his garden, one of his joys in retirement. Rest in peace, Eddie; you certainly earned it. May the music you hear now be as sweet as that you played throughout your 100 years.

Thanks for your heartfelt words, Richard! Dad would have loved them.
He was a character,wasn't he?
We will miss him but we will continue to reminisce about the funny things he did and said.
Hope you and your family are well
