Dear Virginia,

I was saddened by the recent loss of George. I remember him fondly as a colleague from Widdifield. I also remember admiring his beautiful ships. What a clever and funny man. My heart goes out to you at this difficult time.

Sincerely,
Rita Ott

I will always remember George fondly. He was one of a kind. It was an honour to have served with him on the Ontario Liberal Executive for three years. Very thoughtful, someone who knew and loved his community and a funny guy with a huge heart - is how I will remember him. His laughter and wise advice will be missed. Sending his family prayers and condolences. Very best- Julie

Virginia,
So sorry for your loss. I pray you and your family find comfort and peace in the beautiful hope of a forthcoming worldwide Paradise, where as Jesus foretold, we will once again embrace our resurrected loved ones to never lose them again. Keep hIs words as found in John 5:28, 29 close to your heart. There he says: "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life..." For a short while George will be resting peacefully as Ecclesiastes 9:5, 10 lets us know and will soon awaken to a beautiful life to be reunited with loved ones. May this wonderful hope keep you and family strong.

Lucie and I would like to express our deepest condolences to a family that George would often talk about so dearly. It is with them that our prayers are directed during this very difficult time. There are no short term words that take away the pain one feels when there is a loss that is so significant in life, but knowing that George touched so many people is certainly how we reconcile the loss of a good man.
I met George some 6 years ago at a Political Event and soon became close as trusted colleagues. For some reason, as things go, George and I hit it off. George and I would spend our time talking about family, hobbies, ethics, and of course Politics. He would also talk about his love of model ship building. We solved the problems of the world on many occasions while discussing how our families would have a sustainable life in our beautiful Province.
When George was in Town, he would on occasion, stay over or have a long glass of wine with me and Lucie. We really enjoyed his company and his friendship.
Friends are hard to come by, and today I’ve lost one. Rest my friend, and let the wind be in your sails.
