Ouwendiyk Family
It's been many years since I last seen Pete but all the family was always remembered from our days in Schomberg. I have reconnected with some of the family after all these years, Pete is now resting in peace and content. Thinking of everyone at this sad time. God Bless

Uncle Pete always had the greatest stories about everything, even the kitchen sink(not even kidding). I loved how he would always include the kids when telling his tales. Love you Uncle Pete! Rest in Peace!

Pete was a Icon, he was always there if you needed him, So many memories of years gone by, we would always stop and say hello to him and his parents, whenever we went camping in Kiosk, as they are our adopted family. He would get carrots and vegetables from his garden, or make a special delicious soup. The list goes on, we will miss him Rest in peace brother. Love always ❤️ Cor and Toni

We were young when I last saw uncle Pete .I do remember you always out in the gardens when Dad (John) and Mom (Christine) would take us to visit Grandma And Grandpa. You tried to teach me to play your harmonica and you were great with us kids. You were always there helping your parents when they needed you in sickness and in health. Now god returned the favor for you and took you in his arms to look after you when you finally needed to rest. Rest in peace uncle Pete.

It had been many years since I had seen Uncle Pete but I have fond memories of him when I was younger and visiting Grandma and Grandpa...I particularly remember his camera collection...he had some antique ones and I still have a picture he took of me with a pair of the old goggles the photographers used to wear to shied from the bright flashes...R.I. P. Uncle...With lots of Love from Terry and Sara and Eddie

He was lucky to have had your there taking him where he needed to be, your and Dave did an awful lot for him and I am sure he greatly appreciated it. I had not seen him myself in a very long time and am sad because of that but as you said he is in a better place now his suffering is over.
"Rest in Peace Uncle Pete" you lived life on your own terms and that is something to be proud of.

Great-uncle Pete was a funny and caring man. I'll never forget our visits! One determined and strong person with his own mind set. My oma is very fond of her brother and has shared many stories over the years.
Rest in peace

Pete was always a great friend to my parents Harry (deceased) and Joyce Renaud. I have fond memories of Pete's frequent visits in the evenings for coffee and convesation with my parents. He donated so much time and effort in assisting my parents to make our home better over the years.

Thank you Pete

Thanks also for the pictures you posted Kevin. Although Pete took thousands of pics, he rarely was in any and we don't have many pictures of him since he moved to North Bay in '64. If you have more, please post them. Thanks again Kevin.
