Rene had a gift for putting smiles on faces. Not everyone can do that, and I'll bet he did it for all 91 years of his life. His exuberance and humor will stay in my memory.

Nancy, Marty, and Randy. My cousin Donna Mauro has just now informed us by email of the death of your father. We are currently in Florida or we would have thought seriously of driving north for the funeral of this wonderful man who was your father. He took me partridge hunting when I was 15 years old. He was always kind to me. When Christine and I visited North Bay, seeing PeeWee at Sunday morning breakfast was a highlight for us. We are stunned this morning by the suddenness of his death, even though he was apparently 91. To us, he was young at heart. We, too, will miss him. A little bit more of North Bay has lost its meaning for us with his death. We hope you find whatever you need to get through these days of grieving the loss of a very good father.
