Naomi-Jean,Ivorirose and I would like to thank family and friends for their heartfelt gratitude from messages, texts, calls cards and visits. I personally want to thank Bills daughters Deborah Scherba and Tonya Scherba and their mom June for all the love and support over the last 8 yrs during Bills illness. I am also grateful for the help and support from Bills friends.
Bill will be remembered for so much but for me mostly the legacy that he really leaves that changes our lives and the lives of our 2 youngest daughters Naomi and Ivorirose whom we adopted from China when they were just babies and now have grown into two beautiful young ladies!!
Bill is now at peace in the place he looked forward to and always said oh what a day that will be when I meet my Lord!
I know he had friends waiting by the heavenly gates to great him especially my best-est friend Kim.

To the Scherba family. My deepest sympathies on the passing of Bill. I have not seen Bill in a long time but will always remember the warm greetings I received from him as a young boy when Bill and my father played football together for the North Bay Ticats. Please know you are all in my thoughts and prayers during this trying time.

I woke up to some sad news today. Sad for those that are left to mourn the loss of beloved Billie Scherba, a man I referred to as Uncle Billie. I am fortunate that we spent some precious time together and I am grateful for the memories that we shared. I know in my heart that Billie is at peace and was not afraid to die, for he believed in something beyond. With that being said, I take comfort in knowing a new journey has begun for him. My condolences to his family, his beautiful wife Rita Scherba his daughters (all four of them) his son and his granddaughter. Sending you all love and hugs. Have a beautiful day. Sending ❤️ and hugs to everyone else. This picture is of Billie and I at my wedding 33 years ago ❤️ Rest in Peace Uncle Billie ❤️

Passing of Bill Scherba, It's with a heavy heart to announce that today was the day of my dear friend Bill's journey into Glory. I saw Bill Wednesday and he had the same old sense of humour about his 8 years of misery. Losses, heart attack, cancers etc. We chuckled, caught up a bit and he said he was ready. He said I'll see you on the other side John and I said see you again soon Bill, not knowing it would be so quick. Bill and I ventured into Africa together in business in 2007. He was a giver. One of the first things he did was partner with Mercy Ships to bring aid to the sick and dying in Ghana. He was always giving where he could. He loved his family and they were there for him. I know he's happy now in the Kingdom, his true home. Till we meet again Bill.
